As a founding member of Tent's new Spanish coalition, the first to launch in Europe, Roca Group will progressively extend its commitment to the integration of refugees to the different countries where it operates.
Through Tent, Roca Group and other prominent employers such as BBVA, L’Oréal or Marriott International pledge to expedite the integration of refugees in Spain. Roca Group will progressively extend this commitment to the different countries where it operates.
Spain currently hosts more than 300,000 refugees and 130,000 asylum seekers hailing from Ukraine, Venezuela, and Syria, among others. Despite labor shortages across key industries, few refugees are formally employed as they face numerous barriers to formal employment – lower language proficiency, transportation issues, a lack of social and professional networks, and more. Businesses have a pivotal role to play in addressing these barriers and hiring refugees.

With more and more refugees displaced around the world, businesses have a critical role to play in helping refugees integrate economically in their new communities. Tent was launched in 2016 by Hamdi Ulukaya, the CEO and founder of Chobani, to mobilize global businesses to fill this gap. Today, Tent is a network of over 350 major companies committed to helping hundreds of thousands of refugees access local labor markets by helping them become job-ready and connecting them to work.
